There probably isn’t a single person who hasn’t heard a pitch like this. The latest EA, AI auto-trading, real estate investing… and so on. Making money automatically with no effort and quitting your job — I think this is a dream shared by all of humanity.

“I would never fall for a scam or a shady story.”

Plenty of people rate themselves this way, but they may actually be the most at risk of all. For what it’s worth, I used to think the same thing.

The obviously shady offers that anyone can immediately spot — the kind everyone imagines — are old-school tactics aimed at elderly people to begin with. Anyone can avoid those.
